Passive House principled

New compact 4 bed / 2 bath beach house on small and steeply sloping coastal block.

To achieve a modest budget objective we provided simple north facing layout elevated over a dramatic 4m slope. This minimised the need for expensive retaining walls and earthworks and created a bonus covered outdoor play space for the kids.

The simple structure with skillion roof minimises neighbour overshadowing whilst providing generous raked interior ceiling heights. Cost effective aqnd robust colorbond cladding play to the coastal aesthetic and is offset with timber detailing.
